Customized Pet Portraits

When I moved away to college, one of the first things I did was draw my two childhood dogs so I could have them with me while I was hours away. It comforted me while I was away from them, and I think this is where my animal portraits truly began.

 

In my final year of college, I had an assignment where we had to paint a vivid animal portrait. Of course I chose my two dogs, and my sister adopted a new puppy, so I wanted to include her as well. They are a chaotic trio, with Bucket (my sisters’ pup) being a very sweet but very dumb bernedoodle, Ace being a cranky old poodle mix, and Autumn being a little sassy toy poodle. By the end, I was very proud of what I created and wanted to expand on the idea.

 

Now, I make pet portraits that have that meaningfulness behind it that make it truly personal to each pet.

What you'll get:
  • Updates on the process so you aren't left in the dark.
  • A rough sketch before rendering to make sure everything is to your liking.
  • A JPEG & PDF of the finalized piece.​

The starting cost is $60 CAD, but if you want to add any other pets, it will be an additional $10 CAD per pet. I can add up to five pets!

Commissioning a Pet Portrait Painting

What you'll get:

  • Updates on the process so you aren't left in the dark.
  • A digital rough to confirm everything is to your liking before I begin painting.
  • Shipping updates.​
  • A painting of your beloved pet(s) on a wired canvas for easy hanging.

I do require a $75 deposit before I can begin to work with you! There will be a second payment before I begin painting. ​

Note:

  • The prices listed next to each size of canvas is the price of the second payment for whichever size you choose. 

  • I ask for an address and postal code for shipping purposes only.

Terms & Conditions

  1. Commissions and portraits are for personal use only. Unless otherwise specified and agreed upon, any form of commercialization is prohibited.

  2. Payments are in CAD and must be paid in full prior to receiving final artwork. 

  3. There will be no refunds or returns unless artwork is not delivered within 3 months time.

  4. There is to be no adjusting of artwork. For example, adding filters, removing signature, excessive cropping.

  5. I, Raine De Dominicis, retain the rights to all artwork. If interested, a contract for the rights may be drawn up for a fee and at my discretion.

  6. Commissions will be posted to my social media and website with your permission however, I can wait until a specific date if it is to be a gift.

  7. Pets n Prints will not be held liable for any personal injury incurred during the making of, delivery of or final product.
